International Klein Blue
A deep electric blue created by French artist, Yves Klein.
IKB was developed by Klein and chemists, to have the same color brightness and intensity as dry pigments, which it achieves by suspending dry pigment in polyvinyl acetate , a synthetic resin marketed in France. This meant that the original colour was retained, and did not dull when applied to various surfaces.
Yves Klein is known for covering models in the blue paint and creating imprints of their body.
