The English Group has always kept a scrapbook of resources that we find inspiring. We now include this within our website in the form of a blog and, from now on, will add to it on an ongoing

Carol Prusa’s Spheres

These beautiful, meticulously made spheres are created by Carol Prusa.

She uses a mixture of materials; to name a few: silverpoint, graphite, titanium white pigment and aluminium leaf and finer optics on an acrylic sphere. The result is a hypnotic, rotational patterned, far-away-universe-like sphere! I’ve never seen anything like them!

She does have quite a heavy concept behind them which can be found on her site, but put simply: ‘My constructed domes are provocative symbols that invoke the idea of the universe and physical objects that allude to real-life structures.’
