Portraits by Anatol Knotek
Anatol Knotek is a self-titled ‘visual poet’, who focuses on conceptual art and typography. Here is a selection of his portraits which are drawn using the written word. He uses permanent marker on canvas to ‘write’ the artwork, making the text denser in areas requiring darker shades and adopting a larger, sparse script elsewhere. It can take him up to two weeks to complete each picture.
