Will I Be Pretty?

As it’s International Women’s Day, I thought I would share a thought provoking poem by Katie Makkai who define’s the meaning and value of the word ‘pretty’.

Katie Makkai reminds us of the real value by which women should be defined by. Just take a look at the many images of women that we post on our blog, along with the hundreds of women that we see on billboards, magazine’s, and adverts everyday – there is no doubt that these are beautiful women, but sometime’s we need a reminder that there should be more to a woman’s aspiration’s.
