Etch Web Lamp by Tom Dixon

This new design by product designer extraordinaire, Tom Dixon, is pretty unusual – the pattern it creates on the walls around it are very much like a spider web – pretty creepy!

The lamp itself is made from copper anodised aluminium that is photo-acid etched, and is 65cm wide. Dixon describes the lamp as “another experiment in our long running exploration of mathematics and geometry, an irregular pentagon shape is repeated 60 times across the body to create a total sphere.”
