Forming & Fragmenting
AndrĂ© Wee describes himself as a visual artist who is âsleep deprived from work but very oddly happyâ. This, weâre guessing, is probably because the twenty two year old is still a student of Rhode Island School of Design, yet is already busy churning out stunning works across all mediums.
With roughly complete 14 series to date, we see the young artist dabbling in everything from packaging paper and rubber bands to Rorscharch ink blots and Photoshop. Two of his latest series, Forming and Fragmenting and Lineforms, present the human face and body using opposing, yet equally beautiful meansâcomputer programs and hand drawings, respectivelyâshowing lines that are ânot only believable but breathe a life of their ownâ.
