— Leica M-E

With their latest release, Leica have started to go back to the basics of photography, stripping down some technically possible but non-essential elements to leave a no nonsense, simple to use, high quality digital camera. Named the M-E, the camera works with a line of quiet and rapid focussing M lenses and features a 18 megapixel high-resolution CCD sensor. Despite being one of their entry-level camera, the M-E will still set you back around $5,450 USD (approx. £3,350) for the body alone when it goes on sale later this month.
