— Flying Away

Struggling to capture the necessary creative inspiration yesterday – or in that Monday frame of mind where the willingness to re-engage with work is at a low ebb – I departed the studio to indulge an afternoon in the Chew Valley (a beautiful location south of Bath and Bristol) with photographer Katherine Jane Wood.

While we wandered the stone circle at Stanton Drew (and perhaps I’ll be able to add photographs of that later), both the Chew Valley and Blagdon lakes and, as the light faded, the always impressive Cheddar Gorge, I thought I’d entertain you with a selection of Katherine’s Instagrams of some rather pretty seagulls that performed for us while we were feeding the swans, ducks, geese and other wildfowl at Chew Valley.
