Maurice Sendak dies at 83

 

Sendak, author and illustrator of some of the most celebrated childhood tales of the 20th century such as ‘Where The Wild Things Are’, ‘cChicken Soup With Rice’, or ‘In The Night Kitchen’ has died at the age of 83 in Danbury, Connecticut due to complications from a recent stroke.

— Shimao Wonderland Hotel

A flooded quarry in Songjiang, China, is soon going to become home to a breathtaking 17-storey hotel called the Shimao Wonderland Intercontinental.

 

With just two stories above ground, the remaining 15 will run down the side of the 80 meter high quarry cliff like a glass waterfall.
