I walk past this property on Waverton Street in Mayfair, London, two or three times every week and am interested to come across this profile of British architecture practice Squire and Partners work on this project.Squire and Partners have recently completed work on a building now known as the Mayfair House.
The five-storey house pulls inspiration from a building opposite on Curzon Street, mirroring the established Virginia Creeper with a contemporary interpretation of leaves expressed as over 4,000 aluminium plates. Behind the grand facade visitors will find five bedrooms, a private swimming pool, gymnasium, cinema, rooftop pavilion, and two separate roof terraces. At the centre of the C-shaped building is a grand double-height space featuring a living wall covered with a variety of native plants.
