Our annual English Group outting yesterday consisted of walking 50 yards to the barn next door to visit the pregnant sheep who are giving birth over precisely 17 days!
As they can only look after two babies, the mothers who birth three often end up neglecting one of them.
The tiniest (but not the youngest) was Gladys, who the farmer had rescued.
She seemed full of hope and joy yesterday but sadly we learned that Gladys had perished at some point through the night.
