Six buildings have been shortlisted for this year’s RIBA Stirling Prize, including the London Olympic Stadium by Populous and ‘The Hepworth Wakefield’ by David Chipperfield, who we have the pleasure of working with for the Marrakech Museum (Photography & Visual Arts). Hasving just watched the DVD release of Taakeshi Miike’s latest version remake of the classic samurai movie Hara-Kiri, I’m prompted (with thanks to the Movie Poster Of The Week blog on Notebook) to cast a glance towards the movie posters that have been produced to represent this great film.

In running a graphic design agency, we get to see a lot of illustration and it sometimes surprises me that we don’t feature so much of it here.
…maybe it is just because we so much that it’s difficult to find something that really stands out; whether that be because the quality is just at some altogether different level, or whether it’s simply is that distinctive compared to the rest.
Maybe Alfred Steiner fits into that category.

I know nothing about Paul Thomas Anderson’s new movie, ‘The Master’, other than it he makes movies that I like and that it has a cool cast – including the equally constant Philip Seymour Hoffman – but what I do know is that the film poster is really great (and makes me want to see the film already).
