New York-based Japanese designer Nao Tamura has taken her award-winning design ‘Seasons’ into production. The silicone serving platter, having won the Salone Satellite Award at the Milan Salone Internazionale Del Mobile 2010, is now being fabricated and will distributed by COVO and MoMA in the US.

It’s the case that I live in a converted barn myself and, also, that The English group looks after websites (and blogs) for one business that is focused towards West Country farms and native breeds, and another business pointed towards homes built upon traditional oak framed constructions…

Some beautiful illustration by Maria Sibylla Merian (1647 – 1717) who was a naturalist and scientific illustrator who studied plants and insects and made detailed paintings about them. Her detailed observations and documentation of the metamorphosis of the butterfly make her a significant, albeit not well known, contributor to entomology.
