THE ENGLISH GROUP: PROJECT UPDATES

05/04/04   PROJECT UPDATE:   BBC/ENGLAND EXPECTS

This evening the BBC broadcasts its hard hitting drama England Expects starring Steven Mackintosh and directed by Tony Smith. The English Group has designed the title credits for this programme and is especially pleased with this latest broadening of the agency's platform of creative services. The English Group's goal with regards to this design exercise was to produce stylish typographic titles which both complemented, but which in no way competed with the carefully edited title sequence.

An increasing volume of The English Group’s current workload has been for the Film and TV sectors. Over recent months, we have produced all of the support material for the 2004 BAFTA Film Awards (and are currently completing a parallel exercise for April’s BAFTA TV Awards). One by-product of this work is that we have created a fascinating resource of original portrait photography including Ricky Gervais, David Suchet, David Morrissey, Michael Winterbottom and Stephen Poliakoff to name but a few.
