20/03/07   NEWS UPDATE:   THE ENGLISH GROUP MOVES TO A NEW STUDIO

This first News Update of 2007 celebrates the agency's move to new studio premises at Corsham, just outside Bath and also looks back upon a selection of projects completed by The English Group during 2006.

2006 commenced exactly as had the three preceding years, with The English Group facilitating all design and print for the British Academy of Film & Television Arts annual Film and Television Awards events.

While The English Group is often perceived to work almost exclusively for London based clients, a surprising number of branding projects have been completed over recent months for clients closer to home, including fashion boutique Square and the wine and gifts outlet Balance, Beaubar and Flowers By Passion. The English Group is particularly proud of the body of work - including new corporate identities, invitations, brochures and websites - which it has completed for the new 'uber nightclub' Paper and its sister venue The Grillroom, both situated within Regent Street's Café Royal (Read More).

In the summer, the agency was able to work on two projects for BAFTA which were especially rewarding. The first was to produce a monograph for an exhibition of Eve Arnold's photographic portraits of Marilyn Monroe to accompany an exhibition staged at the BAFTA private member's club by Magnum Photos. (Read More). In the same month, The English Group designed all of the branding, literature and invitations for BAFTA's inaugural auction/dinner event, 'Screen Dreams'. (Read More).

In November, The English Group provided all design/print support for Blackberry's 'Women In Technology Awards' and also, enjoy the opportunity to take a sideways step into again working with a client from a more corporate space (Read More).
