The Suicide Girls are celebrating this years 10th Anniversary of Fight Club with an homage to Tyler and crew, featuring tattooed girls drinking and beating each other up.
A few years back, just prior to his death, The English Group worked with the celebrated cinematographer Jack Cardiff on the development of a number of projects and it’s in this context that it’s interesting to see the (appropriately retro) poster for the restored 2012 re-release of one of Powell & Pressburger’s very best films; The Life & Death Of Colonel Blimp.
The British Museum opened its doors last Thursday 26 January to a major exhibition dedicated to Hajj, the Islamic pilgrimage to Mecca which is central to the Muslim faith.
It seems to be Book Day on the blog today, and one exhibition that I’d have loved to have seen (and have just missed) is ‘The Lustigs: A Cover Story’ at the AIGA National Design Center in New York City and which ended on February 15th.
