Like slowly curling autumn leaves or incredible floating creatures from the deep, Peter Gentenaar’s paper sculptures are quite breathtaking.
The pieces are created by allowing pulp to dry and shrink over a fine bamboo framework. His current exhibition at the abbey church of Saint-Riquier in northern France offers the perfect ethereal backdrop – here 100 paper sculptures hang in the church’s grand halls.
