This amazing library in Puebla, México, was founded in 1646 by bishop Juan de Palafox y Mendoza, and is considered the first public library in America.
It has more than 41,000 books and manuscripts preserving intellectual and cultural European heritage, ranging from the 15th to the 20th century, plus 9 incunabula.
In 2005, it was listed on UNESCO’s Memory of the World Register.
